Eric Fields
Nicole Salib
Mentor Liaison
Ombudsperson
Eric is a Biochemistry and Computer Science double major at UMD from Frederick, Maryland. He is also a part of UMD's club tennis team, an SI tutor, and plays piano with a music group based out of Frederick.
Nicole is a Psychology major with a Neuroscience minor from Bel Air, Maryland. She is a part of DEM, a professional pre-health fraternity and Camp Sunshine on campus. Off campus, she spends time with her local church.
Michael Jacobsen

Michael is a Physiology and Neurobiology and Economics double major at UMD. He is from Rockville, Maryland and spends his free time volunteering at Sandy Spring Fire Department.
Deepika Tripu

Deepika is a Biochemistry major from Germantown, Maryland. Aside from team CHANGE, she is a community assistant, UHC peer educator, and a Gemstone CONNECT mentor.
Yubin Lee
Team Clerk
Yubin is a Psychology major from Ellicott City, Maryland. Outside of Gemstone, she is involved in AMSA, the American Medical Student Association, and Gift to Uplift, an organization that creates storybooks for children with long-term illnesses.
Erik Vaughn
Library Liaison
Erik is from Ellicott City, MD and is majoring in bioengineering. He loves the outdoors and is a part of the club Terps in Trees. Outside of team Change, he co-leads an antibiotic drug crystallization research project at Johns Hopkins.
Ashley Woo

Ashley is a Neurobiology and Physiology and Spanish Language and Culture double major from Marriottsville, Maryland. She is on the executive board of an on-campus pre-dental society, is a resident assistant, and is a part of the Kharis campus ministry.
Katie Shrout

Katie is a Neuroscience major with a Sustainability minor from Potomac, Maryland. She is a part of the UMD Club Golf team, a part of the service fraternity APO, and training to be an EMT at Branchville Fire Station in College Park, Maryland.
Isabelle Lim
Team Clerk
Isabelle is a Neurobiology and Physiology major with a minor in Spanish here at UMD. She is from Montgomery County, MD and, aside from Team Change, Isabelle is a volunteer tutor at a local elementary school and a Gemstone Ambassador.
Akash Dhamsania
Team Treasurer
Akash is a finance major on the pre-med track from Gaithersburg, Maryland. He is involved in Maryland Masti, an Indian cultural club. Additionally, he is a part of TerpThon, an organization dedicated to supporting Children's National Hospital through a campus-wide dance competition.
Jodi Coalter
Team Librarian
Jodi is a STEM librarian here at UMD with a focus on research data management, citizen science, and science instruction. Her goal is to help students conduct research in the fields of biology, geology, and neuroscience.
Dr. Kan Cao
Team Mentor
Dr. Cao is a professor in the department of Cell Biology and Genetics at the University of Maryland. She received her PhD in Biology from Johns Hopkins University, and her current research studies the molecular mechanisms behind the premature aging disease Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) and its connection to normal aging.
Jessica Conway
Lab Liaison
Jess is a bioengineering major here at UMD. As lab liaison, she is responsible for any and all information regarding lab space and time slots. In her free time, she volunteers at the Greenbelt animal shelter.
